Church Leadership/Boards
- Session
The Governing Board of the State College Presbyterian Church, called the Session, consists of the pastor, associate pastor, and the 29 elders in active service.
- Board of Deacons
The role and position of Deacons dates back to the early church and has its Biblical roots in the sixth chapter of Acts. The office of Deacons set forth in scripture is one of sympathy, witness, and service after the example of Jesus Christ.
- Visitation Deacons
An additional Board was added to our structure in 1993 for the purpose of the ministry of visitation. Visitation deacons are members of the congregation who are specially ordained and installed for the purpose of calling on shut-ins.
